Job Summary: The Candle Maker is responsible for producing candles in various sizes, scents, and styles, ensuring each product meets our quality standards. This role involves hands-on crafting, attention to detail, and a passion for creating unique, high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selecting and preparing items for production.
- Measure and mix candle wax, scents, and other ingredients.
- Pour candles in various sizes.
- Monitor the cooling and setting process to ensure consistency.
- Trim wicks, label, and package finished candles.
- Verify and fulfill orders timely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards.
- Perform other general duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in candle making or a similar craft is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Artistic, creative, and an eye for design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Technical skills to operate candle making equipment efficiently and safely.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and correct issues that may arise during the candle making process.
- Patience and precision to handle the meticulous work of candle making.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to handle potentially heavy equipment or materials.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and handling of hot materials.
