| Shipping + Packaging Specialist |
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Packaging Specialist to join our team at Porter Lane Home. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting our handcrafted home décor products and packaging them with care and precision to ensure every customer receives a perfect unboxing experience. Previous experience in shipping and order fulfillment is a plus, but not required. A demonstrated ability to multitask and excellent attention to detail are critical to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect each product to ensure it meets our high quality standards before packaging
- Carefully wrap, label, and package home décor items (such as pillows, candles, and textiles) for retail and direct-to-customer orders
- Maintain accuracy in fulfilling orders and preparing shipments
- Ship completed and verified orders
- Assist in maintaining inventory stock
- Prepare and assemble products as needed
- Keep packaging and work areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Communicate any quality or inventory concerns to the team promptly
- Uphold the brand’s commitment to excellence by ensuring every package reflects the beauty and care behind our products
- Perform other general duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Creative, organized, great attitude, reliable, and a keen attention to detail
- Comfortable working with your hands
- A good eye for level, center, straight
- Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and hardware
- Ability to work both individually and as a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
Hours:
- 15-30 hours/week + seasonal increases to 30-40 hours/week

| Direct to Garment Printer Operator |
Job Summary: The DTG Printer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining our DTG printing equipment to produce high-quality products. This role requires technical skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for creating custom designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate DTG printing machines and software.
- Prepare and load various materials onto printer.
- Ensure accurate color matching and print quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the printing process.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure designs are printed accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of printing supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards.
- Perform other general duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating DTG printing equipment and software is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of garment printing techniques and color management.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Artistic, creative, and an eye for design.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and correct issues that may arise during the printing process.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of precise measurements.
- Ability to handle potentially heavy equipment or materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Creative and able to suggest improvements to the printing process.
Hours:
- This role is currently part-time with expected hours of 32 per week.
